Find the place, not just the text

Alkax search is designed for situations where spelling, formal street data, and local naming are imperfect.

  • place title;
  • settlement or locality;
  • full or shortened Plus Code;
  • latitude and longitude;
  • category;
  • nearby places around the map or your current location.

Search tolerates minor text differences, so a small misspelling should not always prevent a useful match.

Choose the right result

Do not select a result from the title alone. Compare:

  • the point on the map;
  • locality and settlement;
  • category;
  • description and visible landmarks;
  • quality, verification, and claim signals;
  • distance from the expected area.

Two businesses or homes can have similar names. The arrival context is what distinguishes them.

Search by Plus Code

A Plus Code identifies an area derived from coordinates. Paste the code into Alkax search to resolve the location and find related Alkax places.

If someone shares only a shortened Plus Code, locality context may be needed to recover the intended area.

Search by coordinates

Paste latitude and longitude when another device or system has already captured the point. Use the map and nearby results to determine whether an Alkax place exists there.

No result?

Try:

  1. a shorter name;
  2. the locality instead of the full description;
  3. a Plus Code or coordinates;
  4. moving the map to the expected area;
  5. a broader category.

If the destination is genuinely missing and it is safe to publish, create a new address.
