Quality is a combination of signals
A place can be geographically precise and still be difficult to use. Alkax address quality considers the point, the human context, and the evidence around the record.
Quality dimensions
| Dimension | Strong signal |
|---|---|
| Precision | The point marks the practical arrival location |
| Recognisability | The title and description make sense to a first-time visitor |
| Completeness | Locality, category, and building context are present where useful |
| Freshness | Descriptions and photos still match the destination |
| Uniqueness | The record is not an unnecessary duplicate |
| Trust | Relevant verification, claim, and moderation signals support the record |
| Safety | Public fields do not expose secrets or inappropriate personal data |
Verification is not ownership
Community verification can show that people recognise the record as accurate. A claim can show that an account has been approved as responsible for the place. Neither signal is a land title, legal address designation, or unconditional guarantee.
Improve a weak place
- Correct the arrival point.
- Replace vague or temporary directions with stable landmarks.
- Add missing locality or building context.
- Remove outdated or unsafe information.
- Resolve duplicates.
- Add an appropriate current photograph.
- Seek genuine verification from people who know the place.
